The Weekly Geek
Whatup, nerds. This week, I'm interviewing...me! That's right, we're in a gap week with creator interviews resuming next Friday. In the meantime, I have some exciting news. If you didn't have a chance to read my interview with author Frank Morelli, I announced that my short story Swap will be featured in a YA science fiction/fantasy anthology releasing spring next year! Follow Hypothesis Productions for updates.
So, Michael, what are you geeking out about this week?
What I'm reading: To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christopher Paolini. The author of The Inheritance Cycle is back with a science fiction story about first contact and intergalactic war. I hate to recommend a book before I've read it, but if the opening act is any indication of the rest of the book, I'm definitely hooked and invested in the protagonist, Kira, and her relationships with the interstellar survey crew. Paolini's writing style has evolved beautifully from his Eragon roots, and I'm looking forward to what happens.
What I'm getting pumped for: UFC 253. Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa are both undefeated, which automatically adds another layer of tension to this fight. If their previous fights are any indication, this should be a good one.
What I'm listening to: "The Tide" by Pale Waves.
That's it for this week! We'll be back next Friday with more creator interviews. Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss any cool stuff!
