The Weekly Geek
Whatup nerds. Here's a short list of stuff I'm geeking out about this week.
Where I'm drawing inspiration: Concept Art World. This website showcases top concept art talent from all over the world. I've been using some of their sci-fi collections to conceptualize star ship design for Bobby Robot 2.0
Documentary series I've been watching: Into the Unknown: Making Frozen II. For all the problems I had with Frozen and Frozen II's story structure, this behind the scenes documentary is a fascinating look at the animation process and how massive projects like this come together.
How I've been building theme parks: Planet Coaster. Back in the day, I played Roller Coaster Tycoon for hours. Planet Coaster is essentially a spiritual successor and offers so many customization options, you can pretty much design anything you want. I haven't quite figured out how to make money in the career mode, but sandbox mode scratches the creative theme park design itch Roller Coaster Tycoon left me with in the 00s.
That's it for this week!
